Information for Therapy Clients
What happens during an initial therapy session?
A typical first session lasts approximately 60 to 75 minutes, during which I will ask you questions about the issues concerning you, encourage you to define your goals, using a variety of methods to help you explore those issues and help you find ways of resolving them. Some of my therapies are content free which means that you do not have to tell me details of the issue you want help with.
What happens during subsequent therapy sessions?
Over the subsequent sessions, we will work on the identified goals, weaving the techniques into our time together, and begin to help you move forward. Giving emotional relief to what you are experiencing so a clearer understanding of the part it plays in your life is felt. With this comes clarity and change. You may be asked to carry out some tasks at home between sessions, for example: practising a specific technique, keeping a journal, or experimenting with a new behaviour.
The magic continues and even deepens outside of the sessions.
Therapy cost and venue.
My standard fee is £80 per 60 minute session. I encourage all new clients to book a minimum of 3 sessions. This gives you a real opportunity for change. I offer blocks of sessions at a differing cost, the more that are booked the greater the savings. Single sessions can be booked at a reduced rate following the completion of the initial block, these are seen as top up sessions.
I also accept payment via BACS or PayPal. See website for prices.
Sessions are generally available online via zoom. In person sessions may be available depending on circumstances for both of us. The sessions are carried out in a safe, quiet and confidential space.

Treatment Aftercare
After a therapy session it is always advisable to rest and relax for a while to ensure the maximum benefit from the treatment.
You may wish to follow the simple guidance steps below:
• Drink plenty of pure, non-carbonated water
• Avoid caffeine or alcohol
• Maintain a healthy diet.
Please be kind to yourself and listen to your own body as we are all different.
In addition to feelings of relaxation, lightness and being uplifted that are regularly reported, occasionally some people may experience the following in the day or two after a treatment:
• A short-term increase in symptoms, followed by gradual improvement
• Needing to sleep or rest more
• Headache
• Feeling emotional
• Increased urination
• Temporary and mild cold like symptoms.
These are all positive signs that are indicative of a body bringing itself back into balance. It is completely normal not to experience any of the above
If you do have any concerns, please take full responsibility for your own health and wellbeing, use normal self-care and contact your GP surgery if necessary as you usually would.
